During the Cosmoprof Miami show, held from January 21 to 23, we showcased our booth to promote our U.S. manufacturing of private-label Hypochlorous Acid (HOCl). Several discussions took place with both domestic and foreign companies interested in establishing partnerships with U.S. HOCl manufacturers. These companies found it appealing to have a reliable supplier located close to their U.S.-based facilities.

In light of the supply chain issues experienced during the pandemic and the new U.S. administration’s stance on trade, there is increasing interest in U.S.-based manufacturing. This trend is expected to continue for several more years. According to the Wall Street Journal, effective February 4, 2025, an additional 10% import tariff will be imposed on goods from China. Furthermore, Mexico and Canada will see 25% import tariffs, although these have been delayed for at least thirty days while negotiations are ongoing.
Securing a U.S. manufacturer for HOCl is a crucial aspect of supply chain strategy. By avoiding potential tariffs, eliminating overseas shipping, and reducing lead times, companies can keep costs down and increase profits.
