What is Disinfexol?

It is a ready-to-use EPA registered (95747-1), Hospital-Grade Cleaner and Disinfectant.  Disinfexol uses HOCl (Hypochlorous Acid), the most effective species of chlorine. HOCl is produced in the optimal pH range. 

Is it Toxic?

Disinfexol is 99.935% reverse osmosis water and .065% HOCl.  That's it!  No preservatives, lye, dyes, salt, scents, or any other toxic chemical. Clean. Pure. Simple.

Where do I use it?

It is the the perfect Cleaner and Disinfectant for hard, non-porous surfaces.  Counters, tables, appliances, handles, doorknobs, fitness, equipment, desks, etc.

Does it leave a residue?

No. It is 99.935% reverse osmosis water. Disinfexol doesn’t leave the same harmful residues as conventional cleaners, which often must be wiped after application.  Simply spray on any surface and wipe dry with a clean cloth or paper towel.

What is the shelf-life?

Most HOCl products only last a few weeks.  Disinfexol has a 6 month shelf-life and is undergoing additional GLP testing to extend further. Our proprietary manufacturing process and quality of ingredients make it superior to other similar products. 

Better than Bleach?

This is easy!  For starters, it is 80-100 times more effective since it uses HOCl to kill, a different species of chlorine.  It has the ideal concentration of 650 ppm, not 52,500 ppm like bleach.  Lastly, it contains no lye, preservatives or other caustic chemicals that are dangerous and harmful to our health.

We are an entrepreneurial group based in Gaithersburg, MD that has worked together in various ventures for many years.  My brother, Gil, and I, have worked together since 1996.  Based upon our co-founder’s foresight and extensive knowledge about Hypochlorous Acid ("HOCl"), we assembled a team with the goal of manufacturing and distributing natural, non-toxic disinfectants to destroy bacteria and viruses on hard surfaces.  We wanted to fight Hospital-Acquired Infections (“HAI”) and other deadly viruses, such as COVID-19, while keeping people safe.  HAIs and viruses like COVID-19 are an increasing threat to our health and well-being, especially to the elderly and those with compromised immune systems. Disinfexol LLC's mission is to take a stand against these bacteria and viruses, but with clean, non-toxic solutions. "The COVID-19 pandemic has  changed our world as we know it. This is not a time to allow fear to overwhelm us, but we will still need to be more mindful of practicing good hygiene. This means putting forth extra effort to keep surfaces clean and disinfected and hands washed.  Even some form of social distancing is wise. We are excited to be a small part of the solution to a healthier and safer world. Technology

The active ingredient in Disinfexol, Hypochlorous Acid (HOCl), has been known for 150 years.  In fact, our white blood cells naturally produce HOCl to fight infection in our bodies.  HOCl is amazing effective and carries a neutral charge, which is naturally attracted to negatively charged bacteria and viruses.

HOCl is a species of chlorine and is the most effective disinfectant.  Chlorine in water splits into two forms, HOCl and Hypochlorite (OCl-). At the high pH range, which is the chlorine solution provided by bleach, chlorine is in the OCl- form and offers less germ killing power. Disinfexol is produced in the 5.5 to 6.5 pH range (see scale below), where HOCl comprises 100% of the free available chlorine. HOCl has 80 -100 times the killing power of OCl- and is safe and will not harm the environment and life. It has only a faint scent and contains no salt, lye, scents or other toxic ingredients.

Disinfexol is produced with a membrane cell electrolysis process and is 99.935% reverse osmosis water and .065% HOCl.
